Hey! I just posted....but, yeah. Anyway, over at Three American Sisters, I'm helping them make a photostory. Check back soon for it.

Anyway, since I've been gone for so long, I'm going to come back with a Short Story, and since it's Memorial Day Weekend, it'll be about...well, you can guess ;).

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND
short story by: Doodledog

Felicity blinked open her eyes as sun streamed into the window. She groaned and rolled over, realization gripping her that it was Monday. Possibly being the worst day of the week, and Felicity's least favorite, it brought the end of a weekend and school-two of Felicity's least favorite things.

"Come on, Teetee, you have to get up eventually!" Lizzy said as she pulled on her clothes.

"Yeah, come on. It's Monday!" Amythest called cheerily. Teetee wondered how she could be cheerful about something like that. But she rolled out of bed and went to choose her clothes.

Once everytone was dressed, they went down to breakfast, which surprised Mama.

"What are you all doing up so early?" Mama asked Felicity.

"It's Monday! We have school," Felicity pointed out drowsily.

True, it's Monday, but you don't have school until tomorrow," Mama replied. "It's Memorial Day Weekend."

"What's that?" Lizzy asked as she scooped three pancakes onto her plate and sat down at the table.

"Memorial Day is the day we take to observe the end of the war years ago, and recognize the ones that died fighting." Mama put a plate in Felicity's hand, as she usually had to do on schooldays. Felicity was hard to make sence of and sence to before eight.

"That's sad," Thistle said unhappily. "It's nice of them to fight for us, but it's sad thinking about how they died."

"Yeah," Lizzy agreed. "I think they're mighty brave for doing what they did, though."

"They were very brave," Mama told them. "I mean, they willingly marched onto a battlefield."

"I would never do something like that," Teetee said, blinking as she just began to wake up. "I'd be to freaked out to. But if it gets us a day off of school, I'll remember them for what they did."

Mama smiled. "Well, I suppose we could do something nice today, like...I don't know, go to the beach, anything you like."

"The beach!" Lizzy perked up.

"That sounds really fun! Let's go!" Thistle added happily.

So they finished their breakfast and got their towels and bathing suits together before they piled into the car. The dolls looked at each other with smiles on their faces. And they drove off into the sunset.

THE END

Well, I hope you liked it. I had a lot of fun writing it! Please comment and tell me what you think of it! Thanks!

FINALLY! It's here! Sorry it's later than I told you...I got home so much later than I expected! But anyway, here it is! Kidnapped, Part 3!

(told completely in Felicity's point of view)

KIDNAPPED!
A SHORT STORY BY: DOODLEDOG
PART THREE

BAM! Felicity threw herself against the door once again. She knew it was useless. She knew there was no way out. Phillip had barred the window and the door was still locked. She knew that in her mind, but her mind didn't seem to be getting the message to her body to stop throwing herself against the door. BAM! Slumping to the ground, Teetee began to cry. She wasn't one to cry. She couldn't even remember the last time she had cried. No, Thistle was the real softie, and even Lizzy cried when necessary, but Teetee? Never. But this was different. She had almost escaped, almost made it out of the village... But then what? Teetee asked herself. Then what would I do?

They'll look for me, Teetee thought, lifting her head. I'll bet they're on their way right now. She smiled to herself. They would find her. And they'd go home and have a wonderful time again.  Maybe Lizzy will even paint a picture while they're looking, Teetee told herself, gradually rising and walking over to the bed. She stretched herself out onto it and found her joints sigh, sore from the hard door she couldn't break through. They'll be here, she thought drowsily. I'll just wait here until they come... And, with that, she felt herself sink into sleep.

SCRATCH! Teetee woke with a start as her lunch plate was thrust under the door. She rose, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes, to retrieve it. It was a small peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwich. Clink-clink! Teetee listened as the person on the other side of the door undid the locks. She heard them hesitate a moment, then quickly open the door, thrust a glass of water into the room, then closed it and locked the door again. Teetee sighed. That had been her first idea of escaping, but she had then decided that it wouldn't work and instead climbed out the window. That didn't go well, either.

After gulping down her lunch, Teetee shoved the tray back under the door and left the cup by the door, right where they had put it for her to drink out of. She usually put the cups there, and they "disappeared" while she was sleeping.

She stood up and looked around. She would usually lay back on the bed and sleep again, but she wasn't at all sleepy. But the room was so bare that she knew there was nothing else to do. Yet, she knew she would be able to think of something. There's an idea waiting to be found anywhere you go, Mama would always say. Felicity just had to find it first. That was it! She could be an explorer, going on a voyage to find land!

"First stop," she mumbled to herself. "Bedland!" She marched over to the bed and pulled the covers back. "Hmmm." She pulled the blankets off the bed entirely. "Small amount of land, no mountains or hills, and a bit boring, but still something! March on!"

After she had visited the furniture items, she moved to the walls.

"Plain and white," she murmered. "But much more room. Now I just have to check it for...parasites." Closing her eyes, Teetee stuck her hands out and felt the first wall. "Completely smooth. Moving on." The second wall was almost completely smooth, except...

"What's this?" Felicity opened her eyes as she felt something, some kind of dent, in the wall. "It seems to be some kind of...closet?" How had she not noticed it before? There wasn't any real doorknob, only a space taken out of the door to where your fingers could fit in it and pull it back, which Teetee did.

"Wow," she whispered. It was filled with fabric! "I could do so much with this!" Pulling out clumps of fabric at a time, she plowed through the entire closet until, at the very back corner, she found a sewing machine. "No way," Teetee said in awe. "It's like this closet was made for me!" She picked up the sewing machine and brought it out to the main part of the room to plug it in. She then grabbed one of the fabrics and began designing, planning where she was going to put what and where to cut what.... "Oh, no! I need scissors!" She looked madly for a pair. She finally found one at the very top of the sewing machine, and she got back to work. It wasn't long before she had three dresses cut from different fabrics, ready to be sewn. She then sat down and carefully began to sew them.

It took her hours to finish the first one, then it was time for bed. But Teetee couldn't sleep. She stayed up all night working on the last two, and by the time morning had come, she was done. And exhausted. She hardly had the conciousness to climb into bed, and before she knew it, she was asleep.

CLICK! Teetee woke drowsily as she heard the door unlock and creak open.

"Shhhh!" she heard a familliar voice whisper. "She's asleep!"

"We have to wake her up," another voice said. "We need to go. Now!"

"Teetee?" Felicity rolled over and stared drowsily at her sisters.

"How-how...you found me!" she stuttered finally.

"You're okay!" Thistle cried quietly, hugging Teetee.

"Let's save the celebration for later," Lizzy said urgently. "We'll fill you in when we get in the car, but now we've got to move!" Teetee didn't ask any questions. She simply swung her legs out of bed and gathered up the dresses she had made. "Grab some of those fabrics for me, will you?" she asked her sisters. They nodded, doing so, then leading the way out of the room and down a hallway.

"Now, you look dazzling!" Teetee froze as she heard Mama's voice. What was she doing here? "Just stand still, and I'm going to turn you around now, so you can't see yourself."

"Okay," another voice said.

"That's our signal," Lizzy whispered, and the three of them made their way silently across the living room and out the ajar door, into the car waiting outside.

"Get down!" Thistle told them. "Mama's coming out with that awful woman any moment now!" The three fo them ducked just in time.

"Thank you again," the woman was saying.

"Oh, it's really no problem," Mama replied. "I've got to go now, there's another client to attend to!"

"Right, then, see you! I'll be sure to ask for you next time!" the woman said, and Teetee could just imagine her waving. Mama got in the car and quickly drove away.

"Coast is clear," she said after a few seconds. The three siblings sat up.

"Now," Teetee said. "Tell me exactly what happened."

So they did. They had gotten a call saying they wanted ransom, blah, blah, blah, and set off on a big road trip to find her. When they had finally gotten to the city the police had traced the call to, gotten talked to by some weird woman who had given them a bunch of strange facts, then Thistle had figured out that it was some kind of kidnapping neighborhood and they had thought of a plan. The plan had been that Mama go in as a makeup artist, advertising ACME and giving a free makover while the two sisters go and find Thistle. And then they had.

"And what's with the dresses and the fabric?" Thistle added.

"I found a big load of fabric in the closet, and a sewing machine. I was super bored, so I put together a bunch of dresses. Here, there's one for each of us." Teetee gave one of the dresses to each of her sisters.

"It's so pretty!"

"I love them, I really do!"

"Oh," Lizzy added. "And I painted you this." She handed Teetee a canvas with a red rose.

"Lizzy!" Teetee gasped. "It's gorgeous! Thank you so much!"

They all hugged each other, and Teetee smiled to herself again.

They were all safe.

Finally.

THE END

Happy Easter everybody! I would finish Kidnapped Part 3, but I don't have the time for too much writing right now, so I'm just going to do a tiny short story for Easter!

EASTER DAYS
A SHORT STORY BY: DOODLEDOG

Thistle blinked the sleep away from her eyes and stretched. Looking out the window, she noticed what a beautiful day it was outside. She pulled herself out of bed and over to her dresser, pulling out clothes and putting them on. She walked over to her laptop, opened it, and sat down. She checked the date and, low and behold, it was Easter Sunday! How could she have forgotten? Thistle ran downstaires where Mama was making breakfast.

"Mama!" Thistle cried happily. "It's Easter!"

"Good morning, Thistle," Mama replied. "Happy Easter, honey. I already hid the eggs, but don't you go looking for them like your sister does!" Thistle smiled as she remembered the year before. Teetee had gotten up early and scouted the house and the yard, finding every single easter egg hidden. She had drawn a map of where they were along the way, too, and her sisters had only gotten two eggs each. Mama had made her promise not to do it again.

"Don't worry, Mama," Thistle said happily. "I wouldn't do that."

There was a thunk! as Teetee wandered down the stairs, still in her pajamas, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. Lizzy followed her, dressed in a spring dress she had worn last year. Mama served pancakes to everyone.

"Now," Mama told them. "I have hidden thirty easter eggs. That means you each get ten, and no more! Got that, Teetee?"

"Okay," Teetee grumbled unhappily.

"Good. Don't start hunting until you're done eating. I'll be waiting in the living room-where no eggs are hidden!-waiting for you when you've gotten your ten eggs. Now, off you go!"

Thistle put her plate in the sink and went back up to her room to grab her basket. She wasn't in a hurry; Teetee couldn't grab any more than her own ten eggs anyway. She roamed around the house, collecting eggs as she found them, bumping into her sisters a couple of times. When she had her ten eggs, she met Mama back in the living room to find she was the first one back.

"Okay, let's see what you got," Mama said, leaning foreward as Thistle put her basket on the ground and took out the eggs one by one, lining them up on the ground. When she had taken the ten eggs out, she took them in her hands and ipened them. The first two had chocolate in them, but the third one had a piece of paper with a "3" written on it. Thistle looked at Mama, confused, but Mama only motioned for her to continue. She found one more "3", two "2"s, and one "1". The rest were chocolate.

"Lets see those papers you got," Mama said, reaching out to take them. Thistle handed them to her, and Mama left the room as Lizzy came back with her ten eggs.

"Here you are," Mama said, coming back into the room with something in her hand. Thislte reached out and took it in her hand, finding that it was money. Counting it, it was nine dollars.

"I decided to do something a little different this time," Mama said, as Lizzy opened her eggs and Teetee came in with her ten.

It was a good Easter.

I hope you liked it! I love Easter. I always have an easter-egg-hunt next door at my grandparent's house, it's super fun! PLEASE comment and tell me what you thought of it! Thanks!

Well, I was going to post part 3 of "Kidnapped! A Short Story", and I was writing a lot on it, too, and it was really good...but then, of course, Internet Explorer shut down and I lost EVERYTHING that I had written! So now I am extremely unhappy. Sorry about this! I won't be posting part 3 right now, but count on it coming up this weekend! Luckily, Amythest has began to brainstorm a couple of story ideas for her own short story that she'll put on Three American Sisters. She hasn't quite decided what to do yet, so if you have any kind of ideas, comment on this post or email us at [email protected]! Of course, if we use your idea, we will give you credit! But anyway, you should be expecting Part 1 of her story coming soon...and Part 3 of this one! :)

Thanks to everyone for your understanding. ;)

Hey Girls!! Here is Part 2 of Kidnapped! A Short Story. Sadly, Amythest has a cold, so there won't be a part 1 of a short story on Three American Sisters. :(

If you haven't read Part 1 of Kidnapped! yet, scroll down to my last post.

KIDNAPPED!
A SHORT STORY BY: DOODLEDOG
PART 2

Lizzy raced around her room, grabbing her art supplies. Her art kit, paper to draw on, and a canvas all flew into her backpack. She knew it would be a long trip. Lizzy was hardly aware of Thistle carefully packing her computer into it's case on the other side of the room. When everything was ready, the Dolls raced down the stairs to meet Mama at the door, waiting impatiently. After the kidnapper had called demanding ransom for Felicity, Mama had called the police, who had managed to trace the call to a house in the suburbs. They were now heading there.

As they piled into the car, Lizzy took out her canvas and began to sketch a rose with pencil, realizing subconsciously that it was Felicity's favorite flower. She heard Thistle typing away on her computer, but was too involved in her own work to ask her what she was writing about. She got out her paint and carefully painted the rose, adding in details. When she was done, she set it in the carseat between Thistle and herself and stared out the window. Slowly, the sound of the clicking of computer keys and the car's engine lulled her to sleep.

Felicity gingerly tried the door, even though she knew that it was going to be locked. Looking around, she quickly scrambled over to the only other option: the window. To her surprise, it was unlocked and screenless. She glanced around and carefully climbed out, onto the gravel of what she realized was the driveway. She began to pad (barefoot) to the road that ran along the house she was being kept in.

CREAK!

The sound of the garage door opening sent chills up Teetee's spine.

"Hey! You!" She heard a man's voice, and, without turning around, bolted down the street. She didn't know where she was going, but only turned where was closest to her. She was beginning to think she had gotten away from her perusers, but the roar of an engine behind her made the strand of hope die quickly. There was no way she could outrun a car.

The car pulled up in front of her, the driver climbing nimbly out, and, for the first time, Felicity got a look at her kidnapper.

He was dark-skinned, dark-haired, and strong. She knew there was no getting past him, so she looked around desperately for another escape.

There wasn't one.

This ends part 2! I would have gone farther, but I've run out of time. Thanks for reading! Tune in later for part 3!

Hey Girls! I posted earlier about how I wanted some help about what to do on my blog. Well, I deleted that post, because I've thought of something to do! I love to write, so why not write a short story about my dolls? As Thistle loves to write, she helped me come up with the story, and even a story of her own, which she will be posting on Three American Sisters soon!

KIDNAPPED!
A SHORT STORY BY: DOODLEDOG

Teetee woke suddenly as she felt herself tugged out of her bed by an unseeable force. She could feel hands wrapped around her ankles, and her first thought was, Is it time for breakfast already? But she knew immidiately that wasn't the case. Mama would never pull her out of bed. She would gently wake her. Lizzy and Thistle were way too gentle to even think of doing such a thing to their sister.

Teetee realized that the people tugging on her ankles were masked in black, and as she looked at them, she felt as though she was being sucked into a black abyss. She gasped for breath and reached out, trying to see her hand. What was going on? Was she being...kidnapped?

Looking around, she saw that she was in a black sack and understood the sudden black abyss she had unexpectedly felt. Teetee realized how calm she was. She knew it wasn't a dream, but there was some hope that it was a dream, that she would be carried to the end of the earth to look at the stars, then wake up in her cozy bed at home with her sisters. But she knew it wasn't a dream. Panic rose in her uneasily, and she began to struggle. She tried to scream, but she couldn't. Her voice seemed unable to work, her voice box closed helplessly.

She couldn't get out.

Thistle stretched and sat up in her bed, blinking the sleep from her eyes. Looking around, she noticed that Teetee's bed was empty and unmade. That's unusual, she thought to herself. Teetee's not usually up until breakfast. Shaking her head as if to clear it, she pushed the thought out of her mind. Maybe she went down to help Mama with breakfast, even though it was usually Lizzy that did that.

Thistle rose from her bed and chose her clothes for the day, quickly getting in her favorite blue dress. When she came out, she saw that Lizzy was beginning to rise. Glancing at the clock, Thistle knew that breakfast wouldn't come for another half hour at the least. She walked over to her desk, where her computer beckoned to her. Sitting down, she opened it and typed in her password. The screen came to life to reaveal an open Word document. She was the only one with Word; neither Lizzy or Teetee would ever use it. Reading the last paragraph she had typed, she began to move her fingers gracefully over the keys, the words flowing out of her easily. It seemed too soon that Mama poked her head through the door.

"Breakfast!" she called, looking to where Lizzy was painting at her table and then at where Thistle was. Mama smiled. "It never varies. You two at your desks, doing your stuff, and Teetee still in be..." Her eyes flickered to Felicity's bed, and a look of confusion crossed her face. "Where's Teetee?"

"We thought she was down helping you," Thistle told her, bewildered.

"No, she's not," Mama answered, still looking confused. The dull ringing of the phone from the living room brought them all out of the Doll Room.

"Maybe it's Teetee?" Lizzy suggested hopefully. Mama crossed the room and picked up the phone.

"Hello?" Pause. "Uh, who's this?" Pause. A look of terror replaced the confusion on Mama's face. "E-excuse me?" Pause. "But-but you can't do that!" Pause. "You-you...We will get you for this!" Pause. "I-I wasn't threatening you! Just go away!" Mama slammed the phone back into it's position and broke down crying. Backing away in surprise, Thistle wondered, horrified, who had been on the phone. She had never seen her mother like this.

Lizzy walked cautiously up to Mama. "Mommy?" Thistle heard her whisper. Thistle walked over to them as Mama lifted her face from her arms. Her eyes were red and puffy, and she gathered the two Dolls to her. Thistle faintly noticed the smell of pancakes coming from the kitchen.

"Oh dear," Mama whispered into their ears. Taking them by the shoulders, she pulled them away from her and looked them in the eye. "Honies, there was a man on the phone just now." Thistle could tell it was taking all of her courage to tell them this. "The man-he said that he had...well, he has Teetee."

Thislte's eyes stretched wide. "You...you mean that he kidnapped her?" Mama hesitated, then nodded very slowly. Thistle could feel her face growing hot as tears came to her eyes. She understood now why Mama had cried. "How could they?" she cried unhappily as Mama gathered her in her arms.

"It...it's okay," Lizzy said, though Thistle knew that it wasn't okay. "She's probably on her way back. And if she isn't...well, we'll have to go and get her, won't we?"

Teetee woke groggily, her first thought, Why is this matress so uncomfortable? Observing her surroundings, she noticed that she was in a barren, steel room with nothing but the feeling-like-it's-wooden mattress she was on and a dresser (which, under further investigation, was empty).

She tried to remember the night before. She remembered a dream about a black sack and being kidnapped, but...wait. That wasn't a dream.

A scratching noise coming from the door aroused her from her thoughts. A plate with a plate-like bowl full of clam chowder was pushed under the door. Realizing how hungry she was, Felicity heaved herself out of her hard bed and tasted the soup, realizing unhappily that it was cold.

She needed to get out of here.

THIS ENDS KIDNAPPED! PART ONE
